Service Bus Vs MSMQ RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Working on architecture that needs very high performance. I did some POC using Windows Service Bus (Can not go to Azure for some specific reasons).

    What I found is:

Windows Service Bus is not performing as expected. Can anyone point me to some bench marking data or some tips to improve performance?

MSMQ is performing as expected. The issue is the queue name is bound to machine name and as of now can not think of better way to handle machine failure or disaster condition. Can anyone point to better architecture sample with MSMQ. The other issue is I am not able to find any better tool to monitor queues OR setup various alerts based on queue status.

    I highly appreciate your help.

    Thank You!

  • Timir, just replying to say that you're not alone. We had to revert to MSMQ based on our experience with BizTalk adapter for WSB not being able to do enforce FIFO/ordered delivery. But now there's a question of how to scale MSMQ?

I haven't investigated MSMQ monitoring/alerting -- did you end up selecting something?
