Visual studio 2015 windows 8.1 app deployment RRS feed

  • I have been trying to create an exe file for Visual studio 2015 windows 8.1 application to run in a local machine, but cant find a way. Please let me know if it is possible.

    That's not really a question related to the Visual Basic Language.

    Besides when you build a program in Visual Studio it alway creates an executable. I don't have Visual Studio 2015 but I did test Visual Studio 2015 RC. It placed the applications executable in the bin/debug folder if the application was compiled to Debug. If the app was compiled to Release then in the bin/release folder I believe.

    Regardless you probably want to build an installer that can be used to install an app onto a PC. Therefore you should be asking the question in one of the Visual Studio Development forums since very few people probably have Visual Studio 2015 and most likely anybody that does may be able to assist you in one of those forums.

    In VS2015, you need to install this extension. then you may create the setup project.
