Let's see if recall and submitting once more will help.Regards

Hi,
can a resource recall his timesheet (one of the failed ones)? What happens when resubmitting? Is timesheet manager apply to approve this one?
I can remember that I read something like that can happen if a timesheet manager wants to approve too may timesheets at once. Could that be the case?
Are you allowed too restart one of the jobs in Manage Queue by selecting and hitting "Retry Jobs"?Regards

Thanks Barbara,
By this time I can update you only for one query that you have asked to me.
I have retry the job but again it is going to same state as mentioned in the thread.
For rest of your queries let me collect those information from my users then I'll update you for the same.

Thanks Barbara,
Your suggestion to "recall" timesheet and then "approve" again has worked for me for almost all the cases.
Only one more thing is still under doubt that waht was the actual reason for this "Timesheet Review Error".
1) Recalling a submitted "Timesheet" by a resource before "Approving" by his Timesheet Manager.
2) Too many timesheets pending for approval from Timesheet Manager.
3) Are there any corrupted timesheets which are causing these errors.
4) Any other reasons that you aware of(Like Recent Patch Update or Known Issue of any CU).
Sachin Vashishth MCTSTuesday, November 23, 2010 6:07 AM -
Hi Sachin,
We have the same issue.
I am not sure, but think that 1 and 4 reason does not approach in my case. Because i cannot reproduce this error by simply sending timesheet from one of our test user and then recalling him before he was approved. And currently we do not have any CU installed on our environment, only out of box Project Server 2010.
Statistically I see this errors on my queue in the days when we have mass activity of submitting and approving timesheets. But not for all users. So i guess that 2 and 3 reasons would be more probably but also more difficultly for diagnostics.

Hi Alexey,
CU Feb 2011 does resolve some issues regarding timesheets, especially when lots of users are creating their timesheets at the same time: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2479792
So worth thinking about patching?
BarbaraThursday, March 17, 2011 9:02 AM -
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for this recommendation,
This may be helps for me, but i not sure until the end:
1. That this update will solve exactly my question. I read the description and did not find nothing regarding the resolving this error (Timesheet Review errors)
2. I have no information about how stable this update and whether it will not cause additional errors.Additionaly my temporary test environment does not work now.
AlexeyThursday, March 17, 2011 9:24 AM -
Hi Alexey,
Above resolution given by Barbara has worked for me for most of the case, but still I am getting same error for few time sheets dont know why ? As till date, I dont have any concrete reason for this error.
One most important thing which I forget to mention in entire post that I have a setup of PS 2007 SP2 CU Dec09.
And you have PS 2010 in place, So in that case, it would be worth going with above Barbara's suggestion to have latest patches update on your servers.
Sachin Vashishth MCTSThursday, March 17, 2011 9:27 AM -
Hi Alexey,
in KB articles, not all details are described. However, timesheets had been touched, with some focus on the situation when a lot of timesheets are created at the same time. So there is at least a good chance, that your issue was resolved by a "side-effect".
So far I have also no experience with this CU, not sure when I will be able to test. Sorry!

Sachin, Barbara,
Thanks to you i got a action plan. I will trying find information about somebody else who install and test Feb 2011 CU for PS 2010 and then after my test environment would be work again - test them.
AlexeyThursday, March 17, 2011 2:39 PM -
Good day Barbara
We are also using PS 2007 in the process of migrating to 2010. Just want to know if the tests you did with the Feb 2011 CU for PS 2010 helped.
In our case when the timesheets failed when the Timesheet Approver approves them they received a mail but the status in their approval list shows a error. I just requested them to recall the timesheet and approve it again as the resources are not always in the office to recall and resend to the T/A.
When Timesheet Approver approve and it failes in the error it says "Timesheets are a state dri ven feature ....". The people said it could be that while the Timesheet Approver approves the timesheet the resource recall it. One of our T/A had a error yesterday, i had a look in the queue and the resource did not recall or do anything to his timesheet at that time, so i cannot see that, that can be the issues\.
