  • Question

  • Hello guys,

Basically, I have made an application that I wish to sell on in the form of licenses, I have a licensing module for a PHP software called WHMCS which can issue the licenses for me, my problem is I have no idea how to have the application I am making to call the licensing server to check if the license entered is valid.

My plan is to use the SplashScreen that has a form field and button (Activate) that only displays once, the user put the license key into the field then clicks the button named Activate, once the button has been clicked it connects to a MySQL Database on my server to check if the license is valid, and if it is, it proceeds to the actual application and will no longer show the SplashScreen when the application starts-up in the future on the same computer. If the license is not valid, it shows an error message and won't let the user continue.

Any help is greatly appreciated on this, please give full and easy to understand guidance on this.

    Kind Regards,

    Andy Rixon

  • Sorry, you posted on the Small Basic programming language forum - a simplified language for children and those starting out writing software.

I am unsure which forum may be best for you, so moving to Off Topic where you may get better redirection suggestions.
