    I am using Visual Studio 2005 and creating a setup wizard.

     

    Question:

    How do I create a shortcut for application uninstalling on my program menu?

  • Although uninstall shortcuts used to be common they're not used much these days. You're supposed to direct people to use Add/Remove Programs and not clutter up the Start menu. Plus it's got other options like Repair and support links. So there is no built-in support to do this. The shortcut would need to run msiexec /x {your product code guid}, and you'd have to create it with code (a custom action).
