Evaluation ISOs RRS feed

  • Question

  • For individual people not on an MSDN tier or Partner account, we can use 90 day eval ISOs to developer and verify applications we develop in virtual machine and not register machines on the organization's KMS or MLP servers which requires some hoop jumping for largely temporary computers most of the time. My IT team are far away from me too, but that's no good excuse. Are we making it clear to developers which routes are preferable for these eval licenses and any benefits going one way or the other for cost or number of licenses used? To evaluate, you can go to or <-- essentially both the same license.

I'm really trying to work out if it's worth registering machines and licensing them if they will get thrown away after a while and rebuilt, and are thus not real license points if the license key does not necessarily get returned to the pool by anyone? Especially since I am not tying the machine to my personal or my corporate Microsoft account, since I don't want to have any credentials placed on that machine.

automation of testing the stuff dude
