How to use Real-Time Monitoring feature for the iOS Azure Mobile Engagement SDK with MvvmCross? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    I'm looking for guidance on how to use the Real integrate the Azure Mobile Engagement SDK with MvvmCross. As per the documentation, it states:

    Enabling real-time monitoring

    In order to start sending data and ensuring the users are active, you must send at least one screen to the Mobile Engagement backend.

    1. Open ViewController.cs and add the following using statement:<svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"><use xlink:href="#clipboard" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink"></use></svg>

      using Microsoft.Azure.Engagement.Xamarin;
    2. Replace the class from which ViewController inherits from UIViewController to EngagementViewController.

    As we are using MvvmCross in our solution, our views inherit from MvxViewController<TViewModel> and we navigating to other views via ShowViewModel<TViewModel>() method within those views, using the EngagementViewController won't work for us.

    Does anyone have any guidance on how to integrate both together?
