How do you develop client applications for windows azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • We recently began testing a client application on the Windows Azure platform. The client was developed using clickonce thinking that it woukd be easy to use and download, but above all if Azure was not available then the client would still function. We took this approach since the client had to be used by physicians in the US and nationally. This is what resulted as the test was done:

    1. Clickonce is difficult to install even on windows clients. The certificate to sign the manifest has to be disabled after signing the client.

    2. Clickonce will work only on windows clients, this limits our users to the windows OS, the clients want the ability to use android or IOS and they do not want to be forced to load a client into a specified dir.

Having said this my question to community experienced users is, How do we develop a client that can be used by any of the main OS [windows, android, IOS] with a modern esy to use interface/GUI. The client must run on mobile devices with the same OSs. The user population is a Tablet and or Mobile phone. The physician and patient will communicate anywhere, anyplace anytime. This is all related to clients using Azure. Hope to get your response based on your experience.
