Color syntax for compiler output? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way/plugin to introduce a color syntax for the output of the compiler? I am looking for a way to display error messages in red and warnings in yellow to get a better and faster overview of the produced output.

    Thanks a lot

  • The only option I can think of is to post-process the build log, which is generated as a html file in your project's output directory.

If you're looking to understand what's an error and what's a warning quicker, you should turn to the Error List output, which is available from the View menu.

  • No way that I know of.  The compiler output is just plain old text, with no way to include color information.
