  • Hi jack.hong,

    Thanks for you post.

Please follow the following steps to set to device resolution in XAML Designer.

    1. Right click your project then change the target version to “ Windows10(10.0; Build 10240)”

    2. Reopen the MainPage.xaml, then you will find the xaml designer. Then you can select the resoulution in the dropdown list.

  • Hi jack,

    Thanks for your quick response.

You can manually change the resolution of the designer view in his properties window.

Since you phone's resolution is 720x1280. So the you can set the width and height as 720/3=240 and 1280/3=426.67 because the resolution is x300% scale.

Please refer to the following screenshot:

  • Hi Lake

I changed the resolution as your guide.

    But it was rather worse...

If change the width and height of the Layout as your description is shown below picture.

In addition, under the picture is VS2015 previous  settings and my phone screen.

I want layout to fit in my phone.

  • Hi jack,

I just did a research of the resolution “720x1080”. And I found a blog mentioned that the "720x1080" is not support now.

You could refer the following blog:

By the way. They have submit as a feature request and you can vote the request report in the following link:

And once VS team add this feature. They will update it in the above link.

    Best Regards,
