I have performed the following steps on the client machine
1. Open VS 2. Go to Tools -> Options -> Source Control -> Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 3. Check “Use proxy server” 4. Server name is <ProxyTierMachine> sts082 and5. Port is 8081 6. Click OK
Using Source Control Explorer when i say get specific file with force option, i get the following error:
The source control proxy 'sts082' is not responding, so the request will be sent to the main server. Please verify your settings.
TF15013: The requested Team Foundation Server is not registered with the proxy server.
[sts082] is the proxy server
Need to know your valueable suggestion to resolve this issue.

Do you use the TFS proxy in a non-trusted environment?
1. In a trusted environment
Team Foundation Server Proxy computer's domain has one way trust to Team Foundation user's domain
Team Foundation application-tier server's domain has one way trust to Team Foundation Server Proxy service account domain
Team Foundation Server Proxy computer's domain one way trust to Team Foundation Server Proxy user account domain

2. Using TFS proxy in a non-trusted environment
1) Create local accounts on Proxy that matches (both username and password should match) the credential provided by TFS clients
2) Create a local account on TFS AT that matches Proxy service account(both username and password should match) and add this account to “TFS Valid Users” group

Hope these help.
