Need your vaulable inputs on this topic.
I'm not sure whether its possible now with TFS 2012. but I'm looking the same for TFS 2008 for certain set of projects.
Any API,or any Tool or any SQL transactional to fetch the required data(which process template used)
Thanks for your post.
The process template information is not stored in TFS environment, the only think you can do is to look at the work item types or the states in the work item and ‘guess’ which template it is. For example: in TFS 2008, the Agile has a Scenario, while the CMMI has a Requirement.

For TFS 2010 & TFS 2012, you can follow below process to determine which process template a team project use:
- Go to Team Explorer;
- Open Documents folder;
- Process Guidance;
- Open ProcessGuidance.html, this will open specific Process Template documenation that your team project base on.
I didn't try TFS 2008. So you may check if above process apply to TFS 2008.
