  • The error message states that the error occured somewhre with CRP, but not much else - "errorMessage":"Type 'UpdateCodePackage' of Role 'CRP' raised an exception:\n\nService Action failed!!!

I assume that you are doing this update on an Azure Stack Multi-node deployment, and not an ASDK. Your best place for help for non ASDK issues is to contact Azure Support. If you do not have a support plan, please let me know!

If you want to try and troubleshoot this yourself, you can run Test-Azurestack to validate the health of your Azure Stack system. If you find something is not working properly, you can try to restart an individual role, or stop and start your Azure Stack.

  • Hi Travis,

thanks for the response. We are evaluating Azure Stack. So we don't have support plan. We installed ASDK on a Azure VM. Below is log we have running "Test-Azurestack"

  • That explains it! Although the button to upgrade the version is present in the ASDK, it does not work at this time. The only way to upgrade your ASDK is to reinstall when a new version comes out.

Only Azure Stack Multi-Node deployments can upgrade versions.
