How to downgrade from Visual Studio 2012 project to VS 2010? RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

It depends, please refer to this page:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/vstudio/hh266747.aspx

Visual Studio supports many project types, files types, and technologies, and some of these assets are more widely used than others. You can open all of the most widely used assets in both Visual Studio 2012 and Visual Studio 2010 with SP1 and, and these assets will behave the same way, no matter which version you’re using.

    But please note the caution:

If a project requires features that are specific to Visual Studio 2012, you can't open that project in a previous version.
