  • I have version VisualBasic.2010 Express Edition , but this version Does not have the choose Microsoft SQL Server (SqlClient)

     when open vb.net choose : add new data source and choose database and add connection \ Does not have the choose Microsoft SQL Server (SqlClient)

    Add Visual Studio Web Express to your programs (it is also freeware).

    Start that, create the XSD with that (using Data -> Database -> Datasource), copy it and copy also the connectionstring part of your config to your desktop edition and then go on.

    Somehow it seems some persons made at Microsoft SQL server and Azure (clouds) less attractive for beginning developers where express is intended for.
