Results from test runs on web in TFS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, is it possible to display test results from runs also on web of TFS project? For now I found only possibility to show it in Microsoft test manager in Analyze test runs section.

    Thank you

  • Hi Hrncek,

    Thanks for your post.

As far as I know we can only view the latest test run result on test case in TFS Web Access>>TEST tab, and there’s no default way to show Analyze test run result in TFS Web Access. For this scenario, please submit it to User Voice site at: http://visualstudio.uservoice.com/forums/121579-visual-studio. Microsoft engineers will evaluate them seriously.

  • Currently there is no way to view the test results through the WEB interface. It's a common ask and I suspect that it will be added in a future release. As of TFS 2013 Update 4 ctp 1, it's not yet in the product.

  • Until Microsoft releases anything to this effect, there is a nice project from one of the ALM MVP's that can make this work in the Test Case (and Test Plan and Suite from TFS 2013u3 and up) work item. It makes use of a custom control that hosts a web page as a work item control.

    This blog explains is: http://blogs.msmvps.com/molausson/2014/08/31/extending-tfs-work-item-using-a-web-page-and-the-webpagecontrol-revisited/

And the custom web pages can be found here: https://github.com/tfswitextensions/TfsAnalytics

The WebBrowserControl can be found here: http://witcustomcontrols.codeplex.com/
