customize work item tracking

Hi there,
Is there a way to restrict work item state transitions (i.e. Assigned to Closed or Resolved to Closed) to the user who created the work item?
Thanks in advanceThursday, September 24, 2009 2:54 PM

Here is a blog post from Gregg that shows a workaround that might work for you. Not as clean as the "For" attribute with System.CreatedBy, but it looks like it might be a solution for you.

Thanks for your reply.
But rather than doing this through user groups, I wanted to only allow certain state transitions to the actual individual user who created the work item.
