WCF authentication

  • Ok, so you want to get a real X.509 certificate.

In principal, the issuer of such a ceertificate (=the one who will provide it to you) can be anyone both you (the server) and your consumers trust. So if your application is inside an IT organization, your IT can supply you one (if they know the procedure).

It your application is in the internet (this will also work in the intranet), you need to pay a company that will issue you the certificate. Just google for "buy certificate" and you will find a few companies that do it.

  • Hi

Please elaborate o what exactly you want. Is it information on certificates, or authentication in general?

  • I am trying to use authentication in wcf with certification to encrypt the message.

I found an article that explain how to create certificate for testing and now I need a real certificate.

    Thanks
