How do I interact with MS-ACCESS (2007) from C# / Visual Studio C#? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have been learning C# and now find it comfortable to write simple programs of modest complexity (but without any file access yet).  My ultimate objective is to write useful programs that store, retrieve and update data (single user mode only) to/from MS-ACCESS files.

How is C# "connected" to MS-ACCESS?  I have Office 2007 Pro which has MS-ACCESS included.  What do I need in addition to the Visual Studio C# (2013 Pro is what I have) toolset?  Windows 7 (64-bit) is what I am using and most likely continue to use.

Any tips and/or pointers to the appropriate website/resource for getting started on the right track would be highly appreciated.

    Thanking you all in advance.
