Not-quite configurations RRS feed

  • Question

  • Our project has 3 main build configurations: Debug, Beta and Release. But there are also several variants of these configurations which usually only differ by a single /D (#define).

We wind up with some 21 configurations as a result, which is a real pain in the backside to manage.

Is there some easier way to manage groups of such similar configurations?

  • Hi Quietbrit,

Thanks for your post and sorry for the delay.

I don't think it is supported to group the configurations,

As a workaround, you can have multiple project files,

each contains a set of configuration but with the same behavior.

    Is it acceptable?

    Best Regards,
