[UWP]Windows App Certification Kit (WACK) Not Launched for Visual Studio 2017 UWP App RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working on creating the app packages for a UWP app using Visual Studio 2017. The App Packages are successfully created, but when I click the button to launch the Windows App Certification Kit, it closes the dialog but does not get launched. I am using Visual Studio Community 2017 Version 15.9.6. Why is WACK not being launched? Thanks.

  • Hi Nathan,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Can you launch the Windows App Certification Kit before? If it works fine before, please try to repair VS through the VS installer.

Please go to Event Viewer and check the crash report, check there have the detail error message or not.

    Best regards,

    Sara

  • I tried doing a Repair, but it did not make any difference. This is a problem I definitely want to fix, but since it still creates the *.appxupload file (and I am pretty sure my app would pass the certification), can I still upload & submit my app? Thanks.
