FindConfigFiles task could not be initialized

    Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to build a project in Visual Studio 2015 and I am getting the following errors:

"The 'FindConfigFiles' task could not be initialized with its input parameters."

"The 'IsFileSystemCaseSensitive' parameter is not supported by the 'FindConfigFiles' task. Verify the parameter exists on the task, and it is a settable public instance property."

I'm not sure what this means. I don't know what the FindConfigFiles task is or what the IsFileSystemCaseSensitive parameter is.

Can someone please help me troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Answers

  • This problem was solved by installing the latest version of Typescript (tsc.exe, not node) and making sure it is referenced in the PATH environment variable.

  • Hi gib898,

    Thanks for posting here.

According the error info ""The 'IsFileSystemCaseSensitive' parameter is not supported by the 'FindConfigFiles' task.", it seems this issue is more related to the Typescript. There is a issue on the Typescript 2.3:

    https://github.com/Microsoft/TypeScript/issues/15536

And this issue is fixed at 2.3.3 release, so if you are using typescript, please update it to 2.3.3 and above.

See following thread for some details:

If above not help you, please share the entire log here.

    Hope this helps.

  • I am having the same issue, however I am already using Typescript 2.9.2.

    Is there another solution option?
