generate code without installing RiaServices on build server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

For build I can't install the WCF RIAServices on build machine, I have to use it as thirt party dlls. I have copied the dlls of RIA service and update my project references. Now the situation is, WCF RIA services used to generates some code while building for client contexts. But now it has stopped generating the code on client side.

How can I generate code without installing RiaServices on build server.

  • Hello, I haven't tried this scenario. But you can try to copy the Microsoft.Ria.Client.targets file to your build machine's MSBuild folder, using the same location as your developer machine. This may work, but I can't ensure you. For more questions about MSBuild, please post on
