  • Question

  • Hi all,
I need to control the Microsoft power point slide show remotely, for that i developed an external device which is communicating to the computer via RS232 port. Now I need to incorporate it with PowerPoint, ie, while right clicking from power point slide I need to add option for start remote control, then i need to receive the commands(Next,Previous..) from the device and execute it in PowerPoint. suggest me a solution for achieving the above results......
    Is it is possible...?

    Regards

  • Hello,

    Thanks for contacting VSTO forum.

I am afraid to say this issue is off-topic in this forum. This forum is mainly target at VSTO technology. VSTO technology is to extend UI of Office 2003/2007. For this, we could create an application-level or a document level project of which template is in New Project. To open this New Project dialog, please choose File->New->Project->Visual C#/Basic->Office 2003/2007. You could refer to this forum's PLEASE READ FIRST to learn more about VSTO technology. Also in this forum, there are little specialists for PowerPoint. So I would like to recommend you post this issue to PowerPoint newsgroup: http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.powerpoint&lang=en&cr=US, where there are more specialists, and you would probably get more help.

If you have any concern for this, please feel free to follow up.

    Best regards,
    Bessie
