TFS Windows Explorer Extensions - User Menus / Sources ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Congratulations for the release of the new TFS Power Tools. I'm quite excited about the Explorer Shell Extensions, besides the login problems I have.

Will the sources eventually be published on CodePlex (has been promised by a MS sales member on a TFS seminar) or is there any possibility to add user menus to the shell extensions ?

We badly need the old behavior of source safe, to keep the sources checked out on a login.
I've managed to write some kind of simulation of the behaviour by checkin all sources in immediately check them out again.
It would be fine if I could add this as another menu to the TFS Explorer Shell Extensions.

Best regards and thank you in advance,
    Andre Kaufmann

  • Hi AndreK

Currently, I'm not aware of the plan to put power tool on CodePlex. As a workaround, you should be able to extend windows shell to add context menu items. MSDN document Creating Context Menu Handlers might be helpful.
