  • Hello,

    Azure Stack supports Windows Cluster.

Please see the following QuickStart Template that automates the creation of SQL Always On instance, Failover Cluster, Fileshare witness, PDC and virtual networks.

  • Thanks Gary for your response.

My use case is to configure SQL 2014 AlwaysOn(sql servers in 2 different datacenters) in windows 2016 server in AzureStack.

Do we have any reference link or ARM template to configure SQL 2014 AlwaysOn in AzureStack windows 2016 servers.

    Appreciate your help in this.

  • Azure Stack presently only support one region and one Scale Unit, hence not feasible to host cluster accross different datacenters.

  • Hi All,

I am stuck with the same issue. We have deployed Sql HA(on Stack 1- 1st multinode environment) and deployed a standalone DR Sql VM(on Stack 2 - 2nd multimode environment). Unable to add the DR Vm to windows cluster. Is this feature available now in Azure Stack?
