Functional Equivalent of DISPLAY_FOLDER in VS2005? RRS feed

  • Question

  • What is the functional equivalent to the AS2008 constant "DISPLAY_FOLDER"?

I developed a Cube in AS2008 that also needs to be deployed to our AS2005 environment and 2005 doesn't recognize the constant. I tried switching to the GUI view within the Cube to see if I could designate the folder from there and then switch back to acquire the code but I don't see the option within the Calculated Measures section.

    Suggestions?

  • I found it. Apparently there is no functional equivalent to DISPLAY_FOLDER which exists in AS 2005.

    Thanks.

This is incorrect, there IS a functional equivalent in 2005.

While you can't specify DISPLAY_FOLDER in the script itself if you click on the "Calculation Properties" button in the tool bar while in the calculations tab of the cube designer it will pop up a dialog box that lets you specify the DisplayFolder and AssociatedMeasureGroup properties for calcuated measures. This button is usually found to the right of the form view/script view buttons.
