Axum Has Died :( RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Sorry folks, but yes, you read the title correctly. The Axum Incubation Project at Microsoft has been officially terminated and will not continue any time soon. See this page if you want to break your heart.

But there is still hope, friends. While we mourn the loss of this incredible language, it's features and ideas are making their way into many existing technologies, starting with the amazing asynchronous capabilities of methods/functions/subroutines in C# and VB.NET. Axum's life was not in vain.

The final chapter in Axum's story has been finished with the dignified words "The End". Goodbye Axum; We will always remember you.
