  • Question

  • An instance of VS 2015 has an issue with TypeScript. I started the repair process.  The process has got stuck at "Microsoft Silverlight 5 SDK" for well over an hour. Could anyone offer an advice on this?

  • Hi Hong,

You can wait for some time.

And if it you find it still cannot finished, try click that cancel to stop the process.

After the above action, please try download the iso, verify the iso checksum then use the installer from the ISO to repair. Here is the hash checksum page:

    https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/downloads/visual-studio-2015-iso-sha1-vs.aspx

Here is the tool to verify ISO:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0

I guess the problem may related to the installer.

    Best regards,

    Barry

  • Thank you for the answer.

I clicked "Cancel", but it kept hanging.

I rebooted the computer and restarted repairing VS again, then it showed the following:

Eventually I uninstalled VS2015, then reinstalled it.  Now VS2015 keeps getting the following when starting:
