Transfer Visual Studio 2013 License

Question
-
About a year ago I downloaded Visual Studio 2013 to use for university through a Dreamspark account. I am now getting a new computer and was wondering if there was a way to transfer the license to a new machine as well as delete it from the old one, as the old machine will likely be given to a family member.
Thank you

Hi J Moreno,
You should be able to uninstall Visual Studio 2013 from your old computer and download the same into the new computer.
In order to download to the new computer, ensure that you download from the MSDN Portal with your Live ID.
Please contact the MSDN Subscriptions Customer Center if you have any issues or questions about downloading at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/subscriptions/aa948874
Thanks,
Sowmya

Hi J Moreno,
You should be able to find the product key from the "My Product Keys" page in the subscription portal. If you don't find the product key there, it should give you more information on that page. Please contact the MSDN Subscriptions Customer Center if you have any issues or questions about the product key at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/subscriptions/aa948874

There is no product key if you are licensed under an MSDN account. If your MSDN subscription has expired, you may not safely assume that your new installation will be 'activated'. Also, there are limitations to the number of 'activations' you may have.
