How to capture F1 into ribbon / Press F1 for more Help RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi !

I realized that the tooltip on the ribbon "Press F1 for more help" can not be disabling.

I therefore wish to intercept the F1 key when the user is on the Ribbon, in order to open a PDF. Is it possible?

    thank you

  • Hi Jeremie,

based on my experience that it cannot be re-purposed as well as disabled.

  • As Fermin mentioned, this is by design. Outlook team wanted to distinguish between builtin ribbon buttons and add-on stuff. For the latter you will always get this F1 that will inform you that this is custom button.
