    Hi Ismailc1,

    Could you please share the error messages in detail?

    Please find the lost connection in SSDT, then redeploy the SSIS package.

    Refresh the job and execute the job again.

    Regards,

  • Hi,

    The job does not finish - no messages, it has to be stopped & restarted after 15min then its fine

    the problem is we can pick up when the job hangs and when noticed its like hours later.

    Its an operational job that runs every 15min hence why we don't check

    kindly advise?

    You can see internal log tables and identify what step it takes longer to run and try to reproduce and fix it in local Visual studio.

    Other workaround is to create and schedule a different job for every 20-30 minutes having SQL code to check

    if (job run > <duration>) then sp_stop_job <jobname>

  • The job package connects to oracle databases and when the connection is lost the job hangs

    I have a check in package to test connection but a few tasks later the connection is lost and job hangs

  • Hi,

    Please create new connection manager in SSDT, then refresh the job.

    Just for information:

    SSIS for VS2019 is released now and to use Oracle connector, you must manually download and install it.
