Using TFS for LightSwitch Application RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a LightSwitch application that worked fine with the solution was not checked in to TFS. After checking in the application code to TFS we are unable to open the project successfully.

We get the the following errors while building the application: -

    1. The Shell property of the Application 'LightSwitchApplication' cannot be resolved. Could not resolve Id 'PrismRootShellExtension:PrismRootShell' to any item. No matched model item can be found.
    2. The Theme property of the Application 'LightSwitchApplication' cannot be resolved.Could not resolve Id 'MetroThemeExtension:MetroTheme' to any item. No matched model item can be found.
    3. Unable to copy the file "C:\....<Project>\Configuration\ServerGenerated\Obj\Debug\Application.ServerGenerated.dll" to "Bin\Debug\bin\Application.ServerGenerated.dll". Could not find the file "C:\....<Project>\Configuration\ServerGenerated\Obj\Debug\Application.ServerGenerated.dll"
    4. Application definition contains critical errors.  (repeats for 4-5 projects)

Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    NS

  • On any machine that you want to build the project, you have to install the dependent extensions (the PrismRootShellExtension and the MetroThemeExtension). They are not checked into source code control with the project.
