How to add WPF toolkit to Solution project

    Question

  • I have opened up a WPF solution project in VS2008. It is a demo sample project I downloaded from Codeproject forum and I am getting this message :WPF toolkit unavailable The project file or web cannot be found in solution explorer. Would appreciate any suggestions

  • Hi akoranteng,

    1. Download the WPF Toolkit from http://wpf.codeplex.com/releases/view/40535. We could install it to our program files folder. And we could copy out the compiled assembly files "WPFToolkit.dll" and other related files form the installed folder (such as "C:\Program Files (x86)\WPF Toolkit\v3.5.50211.1")

    2. Add the referernce to WPF Toolkit assembly in the project, add the XAML namespace mapping in the XAML code.

    3. Develop your program that we can use the controls and components from WPF Toolkit, like DataGrid, DatePicker, VisualStateManager etc.
