USB function drivers examples? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Greetings,

    we're working on implementation of USB (CDC/ACM) client functionality for iMX8 based device. According to the following page
    https:// docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/iot-core/learn-about-hardware/usb-support
    we need to develop the following drivers:
    1. Acpi.sys
    2. myURS.sys
    3. Myfunctioncontroller.sys
    4. myUSBfnser.sys
    Are there any source code examples available for these drivers that we could adopt for this controller?

    Best regards, Gennady

  • Hello Gennady Kuznetsov,

    Have you referred to the USB samples in GitHub? It includes USB Type-C port controller driver sample, and ACPI client driver .

    Best Regards,

    Michael

  • Hello Michael,

    thank you for you reply!
    Yes, we are examining these samples. Do we understand correctly that
    1. Acpi.sys == UcmUcsiAcpiSample
    3. Myfunctioncontroller.sys == ufxclientsample?

    Are there any examples for
    2. myURS.sys
    4. myUSBfnser.sys?

    Please advise.

    Best regards, Gennady

  • Hello Gennady Kuznetsov,

    Yes, you can understand Acpi.sys refers to UcmUcsiAcpiSample and Myfunctioncontroller.sys refers to  ufxclientsample. I have not found the samples for myURS.sys and myUSBfnser.sys.

    Following link introduces you to USB driver development. Hope that can help you.
