AMP on Azure RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been trying to use C++ on an Azure App Service. I have a .Net C# website which calls an umanaged C++ DLL which does the AMP work. The setup works locally but when I deploy as an App Service in Azure it complains about missing files. I am using Visual Studio 2015 to do the development on a Windows 8.1.

I checked the dependencies on the generated dll and the files needed were present on the Azure App Service except d3dcompiler_47.dll. When I copy this to the app directory on azure the app stops complaing about a missing file but then starts throwing an exception.

Any ideas anyone? Is C++ AMP supported on Azure?

  • What exception is being thrown? Are you sure the compute nodes on Azure actually have DX11 class hardware available to run AMP code?
