Cant debug my code RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all, I have a problem that needs to be solved.

I shall warn you in advance, im completely new to Visual Basic 2010. Some days ago I made a new project for a university assignment and today I wanted to work on it again only to find out I couldnt debug anything. The only files left on this project are my, snapfit.vb, snapfit.Designer.vb and the snapfit Managed Resources File. Is there anything missing, and if so, is it possible to get it back form just these files?

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Hi LJAK,

Could you tell me which kind of VB app did you create?

Since this forum is to discuss the VS Debugger tool, to make sure that whether it is your project issue or the VS debugger tool, if you run your app with "Start without debugging(Ctrl+ F5)", how about the result?

If it doesn't work with "Start without debugging", it means that it is not the debugger issue, you would collect the detailed error message or warning messages in Error list or output windows, and then resolve them one by one.

In addition, you would think about the project's integrity, I mean that you could create a new sample app in your VS2010, so you could know that whether your project has all files.

Since it worked well before, please make sure that you open your project in a correct way, for example, open .sln file or open the .xxproj file with VS IDE.

    Best Regards,

    Jack
