Custom credential provider not working for work or school account i.e Azure AD joined machines properly.

Question

Hi,

I have developed a Multi-Factor authentication credential provider and it works fine with normal on prem AD, but when it comes to Azure AD(Work or school) when the user wants to login from Other user tile for the first time windows is returning User or password incorrect error and if that Azure AD user already is a part of the machine (Not first time login any more) my credential provider works fine. Can any one tell me if any extra handling needs to be done for Azure Users first time login in Credential provider?
