Release Management Build Agent Timeout RRS feed

  • Question

  • Per a client request, I am copying an SQL Azure database and exporting it to blob storage. The build agent seems to be cancelling the release after thirty minutes of run time.

There is a configuration option for Build timeout within the build definition, but I do not see a similar option with the release definition. Is there any way to increase the timeout? And, yes, release management is a requirement. It would not work well to do this from a build definition instead.

  • I found a configuration for the timeout on the environment and it was already set to 0. This error message shows for the deploy:

The job exceeded the maximum allowed time of 00:30:00 and was stopped. Please visit http://manage.windowsazure.com/#Workspaces/VisualStudioExtension/account/<account>/scale for more information.

Anyone have experience with getting this time increased?
