MediaElement don't display subtitles RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I use the MediaElement component to play mkv files, but as you know the mkv can attach subtitle track, maybe it cloud help people understand what the people talking about inside the video, but some people doesn't like the subtitle and want to hide it,

Is that possible to hide the subtitles during the MediaElement playback.

BTW, it seems the MediaElement using LAV splitter to play the videos.

  • Hi   William A Wang,

As far as I know, the MediaElement plays whatever the windows media player can play. So if you have the right set of codecs installed on your PC it can be a pretty versatile media player

Unfortunately, I didn't find a way to do this. You may can remove the subtitle file from the mkv file through some third-part tools.
