How save file as utf-8 without signature at VS2015 IDE? RRS feed

  • I have a *.sql file ,I want save  by utf-8 without signature,But VS015 only  have utf-8 with signature option.

    I need VS015 IDE -> "advanced save option" ->"encoding"  can save to " utf-8 without signature".

  • Additionally, you can use Fix File Encoding

    Fix File Encoding automatically detects when a UTF-8 file is opened in Visual Studio and sets its encoding to UTF-8 without signature. If you don't edit the file, it remains unmodified. If you edit the file, it will be saved without the BOM.

    Fix File Encoding lets you configure which files to encode based on the file path and the file extension. By default, only .htm and .html files are protected from Visual Studio but you can add your own extension.

    I don't have VS 2015 installed, but in earlier versions (2008, 2012) if you scroll way down
    the list near the bottom you will find "Unicode (UTF-8 without signature) ..."
