Running/Debugging batch files from within VSCode? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I can open *.cmd files and *.bat files in VSCode - syntax highlighting looks good so it seems to understand what kind of file it's working with - BUT - I cannot figure out how to run them from within VSCode. If I click on Debug...Start Debugging or Start Without Debugging - a dialog box comes up with: Select Environment with Node.js, PowerShell, and More... Selecting PowerShell doesn't do anything and when I select More... it gives me a big list of options to pick from - but I don't see anything that looks relevant.

How can I run these files so I can test and code/re-code?
