Unable to launch freshly installation Visual Studio Express 2013 for Web RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just reinstalled VS Express 2013 for Web. There had been an earlier installation of it, but I was advised my "trial has expired," which I confess baffled me as I thought it's a free product. Am I mistaken in that belief?

At any rate, I had hoped that uninstalling/reinstalling might cure the problem. but no. "License: 30 day trial (for evaluation purposes only) This license has expired. ! Your trial has expired. Sign in to extend the trial or enter a product key to continue using this product."

After signing in: "Sorry, we ran into a problem ! Found <hyperlink>See our current service status</hyperlink>." Clicking said link sends me to a happy page: "Everything is looking good   For details and history, check out the service blog here." (None of the entries in the log seem to have any bearing on my situation.)

Any insights? Solutions? Thanks in advance,

    Mark
