TF30065: An unhandled exception occurred when getting files RRS feed

  • Question

  • Since a few days we are experiencing major issues with TFS 2010 (updated with all updates).

When getting files via Get latest or Get specific or via TFS build we get 1000's of these below exceptions in the error log.

Users are getting error message about lost connections and merge conflicts.

Anyone has an idea, what might be going on?

    Thanks.

    Errors shown to users:

    - The auto merge option is not supported for the conflict on item . (strange thing here is that an item is supposed to be listed, but there is none)

    - The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server.

Exception in error log on TFS server:

TF53010: The following error has occurred in a Team Foundation component or extension:

  •  Hi,

    Thanks for your post.

    Everything working fine before?

Try to clean the Cache and restart TFS 2010 Server manually(delete the content of the folder only, not the cache folder itself):

    1. Clean the Cache folder on Server machine. The folder path is: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Team Foundation\Web Access\Cache_v10.0. (os: Windows Server 2008 R2)
    2. After cleaned, on Server machine, click Start and select Run… to open the dialog box, then input iisreset.exe and click OK, wait it run completely.

If clean Cache and restart TFS 2010 Server can’t resolve this issue, please install the TFS Power Tools and run Best Practices Analyzer to scan the installation of your TFS 2010 Server.

  • We just got this on our TFS 2012 server.  I can't find the similar cache folder to clean.  Any other suggestions?
