  • Normally, one does a full build of the solution to make sure that no build errors occur before checking-in the solution to TFS that triggered an automatic build of the solution. Did that happen? Did some programmer check-in the solution that has caused the issue?

The TFS administrator should be able to determine who did the last check-in, looking at prior check-in(s) and  builds that were successful for the solution and pinpoint where a check-in may have been by someone checking-in a broken solution that will not build.

The TFS admin can rollback the check-in so that the code doesn't have the build issues.

  • Hi kailashbhar,

How about this issue now? Does DA924x`s answer resolve your question?

This forum is about the MSBuild (Discuss the Microsoft build engine aka MSBuild. Topics including: usage of MSBuild, build customization, and MSBuild extensibility via tasks, loggers and hosting.) as your issue is more related to the TFS, I suggest that you can open a new thread on stackoverflow with TFS tag.

More community members and MVP forum may further look at your issue and provide more suggestions.

If you have some MSBuild questions, please feel free to contact us. We will try our best to give you a solution.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
