SOAP and WS-Security RRS feed

  • Question

  • my fellow Visual Studio users,

hey! at the moment i am trying to add WS-Security to the client SOAP messages, in other words i want to add a tag <wsse:Security> to the tag <soapenv:Header>.

i am not using the .NET framework, so this means unmanaged C++.

this is what i have done so far to send and receive SOAP messages:
    - set up a new Win32 Console Application.
    - using the Add Web Reference... from the Solution Explorer and a wsdl-file to setup the C++ code.

so what is the next step to add security to the SOAP messages?

i have searched the Internet for examples and tutorials, but most of them use the .NET framework.

i also looked at WSE from Microsoft, if i did not misunderstand it, WSE is .NET only.
i also tried to use and integrate OpenSSL, but i am not sure if this is the way to go.

any help, or some hints and directions are much appreciated! :-)

    thank you!
