Installing TFS 2010- KB2182621 does not apply, or it is blocked by another condition on your computer

  • I have installed TFS 2010 in my windows 7 machine with service pack 1. having visual studio 2010 . initially i have connected to to TFS facing trouble in adding TFS server name. so i uninstalled TFS and re-installed, it says KB2182621 doesn't apply, or it is blocked by another condition on your computer. please help me in for this error . how can i install TFS2010 in my system.

    Thanks for your post.

    Please ensure you uninstalled the TFS 2010 completely from your machine. This KB2182621 is the TFS 2010 SP1, when you uninstalling TFS 2010 from your machine, it should be uninstalled too. 

    To install TFS 2010, you need to install TFS 2010 first, then install TFS 2010 SP1 for your TFS 2010.

    Please provide the detailed error log and installation log here.

  • Hi there,

    You will have to start with repairing VS2010 and then re-install TFS 2010.

    If this does not fix it, please send the install logs.
