".git/info/exclude" not working in VS but work in git command line RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear Visual Studio Team Services,

Hello! I followed this link to ignore files only in my computer:

    https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/docs/git/tutorial/ignore-files

It says to add rules in the ".git/info/exclude" file. After doing this, in the repo, if I use "git status", this works fine as I see no changes. However, in Visual Studio, it still reports changes, and the files are not ignored.

I'm using Visual Studio Pro 2015, I wonder could you advise on this issue?

    Best,

  • To clarify, Are you using git with VSTS or git with TFS?
