  • Question

  • Hello everybody,

    I try to execute vsinstr /coverage /exclude:std::* /exclude:stdext::* MyExe.exe but I allways get an error Error VSP1019 : internal error. HRESULT=80070020.

    Any ideas about this error?

  • Hi Stefan,

    Welcome to MSDN forum.

    “internal error” often means “cannot get the module file name for this executable”, you could add the full path of the exclude method, please try as follow example:

    Here is a WPF application code:

    namespace WPF
    {
        public partial class MainWindow : Window
        {
            public MainWindow()
            {
                InitializeComponent();
            }

            private void button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
            {
                MessageBox.Show("Hello World");
            }
         }

    Namespace.Class.Method

    The full path matching is: WPF.MainWindow.button_Click

    All the click matching is: WPF.MainWindow.*_Click

    Use vsinstr:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Team Tools\Performance Tools>vsinstr.exe -coverage "C:\[user]\Project\WPF\WPF\bin\Debug\WPF.exe" /exclude:WPF.MainWindow::*_Click

    Hope it could help you out.

    Best regards,

    Fletcher
