     Would like to enquire :

    1) Can .NET Framework 2.0 be installed in Microsoft Server 2016 ?

    2) As my website is going to AWS, can SQL Server 2008 R2 be imported to Amazon RDS for SQL Server ?

  • Hi,

    Welcome to MSDN forum.

    1) Can .NET Framework 2.0 be installed in Microsoft Server 2016 ?

Windows Server 2016 includes the .NET Framework 4.6.2 as an OS component, and it is installed by default except in the Server Core configuration.  It also includes the .NET Framework 3.5 as an OS component that is not installed by default. .NET Framework 3.5 also installs .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0, the .NET Framework 3.5 can be added or removed via the Server Manager, navigate to the ‘Manage’ and then select ‘Add Roles and Features’.

    2) As my website is going to AWS, can SQL Server 2008 R2 be imported to Amazon RDS for SQL Server ?

This forum is to discuss .net framework. It is recommend to open a new case in SQL server forum to seek for better support about these. Sorry for the inconvenience!

    Best regards,

    Joyce
